Steps to Install the replacement filter without any extra tools Note Filter must be pushed firmly into the receiver and turned until the filter is locked in place. If the filter is not locked correctly, water will not flow. Shut off the water supply. Lift the grille assembly to access the existing water filter. To lift the grille, pull out on the bottom edge of the grille and tilt the grille frame forward. Slowly rotate the old cartridge of a turn counter-clockwise to disengage. Gently twist until the cartridge is free from the base. DO NOT PULL! Align the new cartridge so that the locking tabs can be inserted into the filter head. Rotate the filter cartridge into the base approximately a of a turn clockwise until it comes to a stop. DO NOT over tighten! Run water from the dispenser for 5 minutes approximately 3 gallons to clear the system and prevent air from entering the system.
