Web-based, the Sensaphone IMS-1000 not included and IMS-4000 not included are the new monitoring systems for cold storage solutions The IMS-4815 Temperature Sensor connects to the Sensaphone IMS series product line. The glass bead filled vial buffers any momentary fluctuations that may cause a preliminary alarm such as defrost cycles, opening of doors and fans circulating air. The glass beads slow the response time of the sensor allowing normal daily operations to occur without having an alarm initiated. This is a highly recommended sensor for every cold storage application. The Temperature Sensor comes with an attached 7 feet cable with an RJ-45 plug on the end and a weatherproof probe with 12 feet of cable. If the sensor is close to the IMS unit, plug the sensor directly to an IMS environmental input. If the cable is too short, use an RJ-45 adaptor and a longer patch cable to extend the length. For applications where the sensor may be far from the IMS unit, utilize your existing network wiring infrastructure. For example, the sensor may be installed in another room or another floor. Connect the sensor to your structured wiring network via a RJ-45 jack. At the other end, connect a patch cable from your structured wiring patch panel directly to the IMS unit environment input.
